Youth Haven is a licensed group home that provides emergency shelter for youth ages 7-17 as well as long-term transitional living beds for youth ages 16-17. While youth are in the program, our Specialists of Residential Youth and Case Manager of Specialized Residential Services work with youth to provide support and make a plan for transitioning to a safe, more permanent placement after they leave the shelter. Youth Haven is the only emergency shelter on King County's eastside and the only shelter placement in Washington State that serves youth under the age of 12.

We consistently try to make our space feel as home-like and inclusive as possible for our youth, and we're currently in the process of refurbishing parts of the shelter to achieve this!

We are currently undergoing a bedroom remodel to create single-occupancy bedrooms within the shelter, recognizing how important it is for each youth to have their own space and privacy.

Additionally, on the ceiling of the main hallway, we've painted a variety of inclusive Pride flags representing all identities in the LGBTQIA+ community. Stay tuned! There are plans soon to paint murals in each wing of the shelter to continue to beautify our space and make it more youth-friendly and welcoming.

Donations of decor and furniture items are incredibly meaningful to the young people at Youth Haven! Please consider making a gift or donation to support this exciting remodel.

This was a very meaningful and engaging post that I truly enjoyed reading. The calm tone and relatable examples made it easy to understand the core message. I liked how the author highlighted the importance of learning through everyday experiences. As a student pursuing CIPD qualifications, I often read content like this to gain new perspectives. During hectic academic schedules, many students also explore CIPD Assignment Help to stay on track with their coursework. Content like this inspires both learning and personal growth.

I really appreciated reading about the Youth Haven remodel and how the team focused on creating spaces that feel both welcoming and functional for young people. The part about adding flexible study and lounge areas really stood out to me—it seems like a thoughtful way to address different needs in one environment. I also found it interesting how small design changes, like improved lighting and open layouts, can make such a big difference in creating a sense of community. It made me reflect on how environments influence behaviour and well-being, something I’ve noticed even in everyday places like libraries or cafes. It’s the kind of insight that reminds me why thoughtful planning matters, whether it’s in a youth centre or…

This was a very engaging and thoughtful post. I really liked how the author described simple everyday experiences with such clarity and honesty. It reminds readers that even ordinary moments can carry meaningful lessons when we take the time to reflect on them. As a student, I often enjoy reading blogs like this during study breaks because they offer a refreshing perspective. Sometimes while managing coursework and deadlines, students also explore resources related to Assignment Help UK to better understand complex topics. Posts like this inspire readers to stay curious and continue learning from both academic and personal experiences.
