The Youth Engagement Team (YET) includes a case manager, a housing navigator, a mental health therapist, and legal help (through Legal Counsel for Youth and Children) working with youth at risk of or experiencing homelessness in King County. YET offers family mediation and, when possible, reunification; legal advice when needed; and housing navigation and rental assistance if the family is homeless. Services are offered Monday through Friday.
YET coordinates care with other providers using a team approach — drawing in all available supportive people in a youth's life — and works intensively to help youth reach stability, making contact within 24–48 hours of referral. YET is mobile: case managers, therapists, and legal help can meet youth wherever is most convenient — school, home, shelter, library, or elsewhere.
