Youth Haven, a voluntary, licensed emergency shelter and transitional living program in Kirkland, serves youth ages 12–17 who are experiencing homelessness, have run away from home, are experiencing family conflict, or whose health or safety may be at risk. Youth Haven provides a safe, welcoming, home-like environment where youth can access shelter, meals, case management, and support — while working alongside staff to identify their strengths, set goals, and build a plan toward stability.
Each youth is partnered with a dedicated case manager who develops an individualized plan focused on safety, education, well-being, and long-term success. Throughout their time in program, youth are treated with dignity, choice, respect, and compassion. Youth may stay up to 90 days, with extensions available when a safe, appropriate next step has not yet been identified.
Youth Haven's strives to help young people feel safe, supported and empowered as they navigate what comes next. Our primary goal is helping youth reach safety and stability — through family reunification whenever possible, or connection to another sustainable living arrangement — through trauma-informed care every step of the way.
