Every year before the Holidays, young people request items that would them achieve their goals and bring them some holiday joy!
We add the gifts that young people request to our Amazon Wishlist, as well as handwritten on tags distributed to businesses, and coordinate with all of you.
You purchase the gifts, and get them to us. We sort and match them, and deliver the gifts to the young people that requested them.
We are still accepting gifts from our Amazon registry or check out tags at Redmond Town Center, University Village (UVillage), or our offices in Kirkland (13116 NE 132nd St.). Learn more about Giving Tree at friendsofyouth.org/givingtree.
The checkpoint system in Wacky Steps is designed to give you fair opportunities to progress without making the game too easy. Wacky Steps places checkpoints just far enough apart to maintain tension while rewarding your survival skills with saved progress.
This is a wonderful, straightforward reminder that there is still time to participate in this vital holiday initiative for area youth. The mix of online and in-person donation locations removes barriers for community members eager to give, and the breakdown of how gifts are collected, sorted, and hand-delivered shows thoughtful, intentional coordination by your team. This program does far more than hand out presents; it lets young people feel seen and valued during a difficult season.
