The DBT team at Friends of Youth is excited to share that our next Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Class will begin in early January 2026, and enrollment is now open!

This structured, evidence-based program is designed to support teens navigating emotional regulation, relationship challenges, impulsive reactions, and/or intense mood changes. DBT skills are taught in a strengths-based, trauma-informed way that helps build resilience, improve communication, and support healthier coping strategies that youth can carry with them throughout their lives.


Program Details

  • Who: Teens ages 14 – 17

  • What: DBT Skills Class — weekly 1.5-hour, in-person small-group sessions

  • Where: Friends of Youth, Issaquah office

  • When: Tuesdays, 4:30 – 6:00 PM, January – June 2026

  • Commitment: 24-week / 6-month structured curriculum


Is This Group a Good Fit?

This class may be an excellent support for a teen in your life who is experiencing any of the following.

  • Difficulty managing strong emotions

  • Impulsive behavior or reactive responses

  • Interpersonal conflict or challenges maintaining relationships

  • Difficulty coping with stress or problem-solving


Our DBT team specializes in working with teens who need a safe, structured environment to learn and practice skills that promote emotional stability and positive behavioral change.
