June is National Safety Month, a time dedicated to ensuring safe and healthy working environments and preventing workplace accidents.

The National Safety Council highlights emergency preparedness and common workplace-related accidents throughout the month including; Slips, Trips and Falls, Heat-Related Illness, and Hazard Recognition.

The Risk and Safety team at Friends of Youth encourages everyone to review the materials provided by the National Safety Council for each of these items and highlights and uplifts the Stay Safe in the Heat Tip Sheet as we move into warmer weather.

For more information on hazards and some of the most common examples, please review the ‘Workplace Hazards’ article by Safety Culture.
