Our Community at Work! Volunteers and supporters have been very busy the past couple of months. Our work is possible because of the amazing contributions of volunteers like you.
Bell Partners
In September, employees from Bell Partners gathered for an entire day of volunteer work. They organized our spaces, deep cleaned, and enhanced one of our residences for future young people. We had a blast with them and can’t wait to continue the partnership.
Comcast
Thank you, Comcast for Teaming Up to support Friends of Youth throughout November 2023. Your teamwork was amazing while you volunteered and helped raise funds! Thank you for all the organizing of supplies and the human power it took to beautify our donation space. Comcast also made and donated 100 calming kits with some much-needed self-care items to go to young people.
Bear Creek Methodist
Because of the generous support of the congregation at Bear Creek Methodist, we were able to provide over 60 households of clients with goodies for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
National Charity League (NCL) - Sammamish Chapter
The Sammamish Chapter of the NCL was essential in ensuring our Giving Tree program was a success! They wrote and put a string on over 1500 tags, picked up donations all over the county, and worked hard to wrap and sort gifts to send to our clients.
John L. Scott Redmond Office
We could not be more grateful for the continued partnership with the folks at the Redmond John L. Scott office. Over the past several months, they have volunteered by sprucing up the outside of the shelter, collecting tons of easy-to-make food and kitchen staples, and collecting and wrapping gifts for the holidays.
Microsoft Give Month
Lastly (and certainly not least), we are thankful to the Microsoft employees who chose to support Friends of Youth during October 2023. A special shout out to Xinhua Eynon and her team for putting together and donating hygiene kits for clients.
