vaccination mandate, effective october 18

In keeping with how Friends of Youth has navigated the ongoing pandemic, we are continuing to follow guidelines generated from Public Health and what is required by our State and local government. Governor Inslee amended Proclamation 20-05 and 20-14 which requires vaccinations for Health Care providers. After careful review of the evolving situation of the pandemic, and in consideration of our legal, contractual and equity obligations, we will be requiring all employees, vendors/contractors, and volunteers to provide proof of vaccination by October 18, 2021.

Those wishing to seek a medical or religious accommodation will need to provide documentation to Human Resources no later than September 30, 2021.

This was a difficult decision. Ultimately, the health and safety of our employees and clients had to be our priority. Friends of Youth has adopted this vaccination policy for the wellbeing of employees, clients, volunteers, and community members.

Employees whose requests for exemption are approved will be required to follow our current safety protocols, inclusive of mask wearing, social distancing, and hygiene protocols in addition to COVID-19 testing twice a week. Results of the tests will be provided to the supervisor, as per our current testing protocols. Test results will need to be provided by a testing facility via a paper record or photo of the record with the date/time of testing, location of site, and results of the test.
