celebrating our social workers

March is National Social Work Month. At Friends of Youth, we want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our dedicated Social Workers for the invaluable work they do every day. This year's theme, "Empowering Social Workers: Inspiring Action, Leading Change," resonates deeply with our team. Social Workers are driven by a profound commitment to social justice, inspiring them to advocate for the needs of our clients and be key contributors to our mission of improving lives.

As we confront pressing challenges such as the opioid crisis and increasing mental health needs, it's essential that we listen to the experiences of those directly affected. We encourage supporters of Social Workers to advocate for state and federal legislation that recognizes and supports the vital role they play in our community. For more information on how to support our Social Workers, you can visit socialwork.org.

To all our Social Workers at Friends of Youth, thank you for your dedication to serving the youth, young adults, families, and the community. Your hard work and commitment are deeply appreciated and contribute significantly to our agency's mission.

If people were silent, nothing would change.” — Malala Yousafzai, activist for female education and youngest Nobel Prize laureate.
