Julie McFarland, Program Manager

Julie joined Friends of Youth in February of 2009 with a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Montana School of Law and MSW from the University of Connecticut.  Julie has experience working with homeless adults, youth, and families and youth involved in the court system. 

 

New Ground Bothell

Kendra Junius-Roberts, Program Coordinator

Kendra has been an employee of Friends of Youth for five years.  She has a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Kendra works with residents of New Ground Bothell and Sand Point young parenting programs helping them succeed as mothers and young adults.

Celeste White, Case Manager

Celeste has been with Friends of Youth for over seven years. Prior to her current position as Case Manager, Celeste worked as the Resident Manager of the New Ground Bothell program. 

Katie Drexel, Case Manager and Intake Coordinator

Katie joined Friends of Youth nearly one year ago as a part time Case Manager at New Ground Bothell and part time Centralized Intake Coordinator for all New Ground programs.  Katie received a BSW from Creighton University in Nebraska.

Chanda Allen, Resident Manager

Chanda has been with Friends of Youth since April 2007. Prior to accepting her current position of Resident Manager, Chanda worked as Weekend Relief at New Ground Sand Point. Chanda has a nine year history working at Lakeside Milam Recovery Centers where she is currently a Chemical Dependency Case Manager at the adolescent inpatient center. Chanda is a Registered Counselor of the State of Washington. Chanda attended York College and is now pursuing Certification in Chemical Dependency at Bellevue Community College.

Talia Swissa, Resident Manager

Talia serves as Resident Manager at New Ground Sand Point. She earned a BSW from the University of Washington. Talia's plans include returning to school to get her Masters in Social Work.

 

New Ground Everett

Justin White, Program Coordinator and Case Manager

Justin began working with Friends of Youth in 1998 as an Outreach Worker. He is now the Coordinator for New Ground Kirkland and New Ground Everett.

Caitlin Weaver, Case Manager

Caitlin has been involved with Snohomish County social services since 2003, when she joined New Ground Everett. She served two full terms with AmeriCorps focused on providing service learning and employment education to at-risk homeless youth. 

Jay Moore, Resident Manager

Jay has worked with Friends of Youth for over five years as a Resident Manager of the New Ground Everett Program.  He has a strong background in the social services, having worked with severely disabled adults in a residential setting in Seattle.

 

New Ground Kirkland

Justin White, Program Coordinator and Case Manager

Justin began working with Friends of Youth in 1998 as an Outreach Worker. He is now the Coordinator for New Ground Kirkland and New Ground Everett.

Tony Jorgenson, Resident Manager

Tony started with Friends of Youth over one year ago as Weekend Relief Staff before accepting the role of Resident Manager of New Ground Kirkland.

New Ground Avondale Park

Jennifer Lucas, Program Coordinator

Jen has been with Friends of Youth since 2001. Jen has a Masters in Social Work and brings 15 years of experience working in the field.  She also has a pre-med degree in biology/biochemistry and later switched to social services and social justice. 

Luke Quinn, Case Manager

Luke joined Friends of Youth in the summer of 2008, when he first moved to Seattle. Originally from the East Coast, Luke earned his Masters of Social Work at the University of Vermont.

Antonia Koenig, Case Manager

Antonia joined Friends of Youth three years ago. She earned a BA in Psychology and Political Science, and a Masters in Social Work.
