McEachern House is Friends of Youth’s Juvenile Rehabilitation Transition Program. Youth qualify for placement at McEachern House if they:
- Have completed part of their incarceration
- Have shown signs of motivation towards treatment since their sentencing
- Are proven to be a low risk to the community
- Are ready to transition to a less restrictive but highly structured environment
The primary treatment for youths at McEachern House includes:
- Techniques to reduce harmful behaviors
- Focus on a clean and sober lifestyle and healthy relationships
- Techniques to develop empathy toward others
- Family therapy and employment planning
