Foster Care for Spanish Speaking

                                       immigrant youth

The Spanish speaking foster parents will care for youth who are found to be in the U.S. undocumented and are in the custody of immigration authorities. They are also likely to be eligible for legal status in the U.S. because of trafficking concerns or other safety concerns in their home country. The foster youth in this program typically have no behavior or criminal problems. They also have no family members in the U.S. to sponsor them, so we need foster parents for them.

The primary goal for these foster youth is to complete the immigration court process to gain legal status in the U.S. The foster parent, case aide and case manager also work with the child to help him/her complete their education and learn skills for independence as an adult in our country's culture and society.
